Hi, I've never been on a forum before and am quite scared I don't crash it or something! I'm currently studying my level III Diploma in Manual Bookkeeping and Accounts as part of the ICB Career Path. Wow, this one is much tougher than the others and I feel completely out of my depth. I was a civil servant for 15 years before having my first child, then was made redundant at the end of my maternity leave. It's given me the chance to spen quality time with my little girl but it's now time to get back into the grown up world again. This is why I'm doing this course.Is anyone else out there doing the level III Diploma, are you struggling as well?:hehe:

Hi AllI have just begun studying Level 1 Basic Bookkeeping on my way to getting my MICB. I have emailed in 2 assignments and am awaiting them to be marked and returned and am unsure whether to wait for these two assignments to be returned before I send in assignment 3 as this is done and ready to be sent.I am really enjoying the course so far and am looking forward to finally completing a goal that I have wanted to do for many years.Thank you in advance for your responses.SJ:D

Hello to you all.This is all a bit new, never been on a forum before but the discussions seem to be interesting so thought I would give it a go.I am coming to the end of Level 1 Book keeping (as apart of ICB Career Path), and I am really enjoying it. Although at times juggling work, young children and home study is hard - focusing on the long term benefits and a new career path is exciting.It took me a long time to take the step back into education and a lot of research to find the right route, so pleased to have joined Ideal Schools and look forward to talking with you all in the future.:D

Hi & Happy New Year I have been running my own business for about 4 years 'Lending a hand' to all kinds of people starting with Gardening and Horticulture to and caring for elderly, to cash clerk and now analizing and producing statistics for a local company. Its challenging but What like best is figures so I thought Book-keeping was a good place to start, it has been fun learning ( My family think I'm a Bit Mad) but Accounts are like reading a book with a bit of a puzzel as well! My biggest problem is finding time to do it.Often late at night:w00t: but it is worth it and hopfully I will have more time in the new year.:)

Hi all,I've just started level 1 manual bookkeeping after years looking after my children and doing jobs school based to fit in with them. They've all gone to 'big school' now and i was left feeling a bit redundant!!:hehe:I always said when i was at school that i was going to be an accountant and have a Ferrari by the time i was 40! But i had a family upset which resulted in me leaving my A levels and going to work in a bank instead! Then children came along.:w00t:Well here i am 40 next year ( and no Ferrari!! ) and i've decided now is the time to start at it again and i am absolutely loving the course!! It's bringing it all back to me and how much i loved it when i was at school. I can hear the cogs in my brain starting working again!!:P I'm hoping that doing this course and having the support of everyone at ideal schools and the ICB will get my confidence back up as i have lost my confidence so much over the years.I've had my first assignment back and my second one is currently being marked. Looking forward to having lots of good advice from you all over the months ahead!!
